Goose Island Beer Company was founded in 1988 and is now one of the Midwest’s largest craft brewers. The company brews Goose Island Honkers Ale which won the Gold Medal at the 1997 Great American Beer Festival for English-style bitter. The company’s Pal Ale won the 2006 World Beer Cup for Classic English Style Pale Ale.
