Grey Eagle has a special presence in our service area of St. Louis County and the St. Louis metropolitan area. St. Louis is the home of Anheuser-Busch, the world's largest brewer and one of the nation’s most admired companies. Our close relationship with Anheuser-Busch results in the Grey Eagle family of employees diligently maintaining the highest quality of service to our retail customers and to taking active roles in improving the quality of life in the St. Louis community.

Who We Are and What We Do

Grey Eagle sells and markets Budweiser, the full spectrum of Anheuser-Busch beers and other premium beverages within the geographic limits of St. Louis County.

Grey Eagle has approximately 200 full-time employees (union and salaried) and is located on eleven acres of land in Maryland Heights near Page Avenue and Lindbergh Boulevard. Grey Eagle is the only beer distributor in its service area whose beer is delivered exclusively by union members.

Grey Eagle takes pride in providing the best service available and the highest quality products to our 1,600 retail customers. We deliver package and draught beer, clean draught beer lines, rotate product to insure 'Born On Date' freshness, merchandise brands in retailer's establishments, promote sales by building case displays and assist retailers to increase sales and profits.

Beer is an enjoyable part of life for the majority of Americans of legal drinking age. Grey Eagle understands that beer and all alcoholic beverages can be abused and misused. We have a long history of campaigning against drunk driving, underage consumption and the effects of alcohol abuse. Beer is the drink of moderation and Anheuser-Busch is the industry leader in advocating moderate consumption.

Grey Eagle is involved in many charitable activities in the St. Louis area and is known for its support of a wide variety of worthy causes and organizations.

Before 1963, beer sales and deliveries in St. Louis City and County were made by a branch office of Anheuser-Busch. As the area's population grew and the delivery area expanded in St. Louis County, Anheuser-Busch created private, independent distributorships to separately serve the City and the County.

Grey Eagle opened May 1, 1963. Its first office was temporary and was located on Olive Street Road with a warehouse on Gratiot. Six months later, a new headquarters and distribution center was opened in Overland. In 1972, Grey Eagle moved into its new corporate headquarters and distribution center at 2340 Millpark Drive in what is now the City of Maryland Heights.

A Sales and Marketing building was constructed in 1987 adjacent to the original office building. A second major product storage facility constructed in 1995 provided an additional 30 percent increase in the warehouse portion of the distribution center.
