Anheuser-Busch Wholesalers, together with 12 breweries and a vast network of shippers, provide the most extensive and effective beer distribution system in the brewing industry. Refrigerated warehouses and computer-based inventory systems make sure our Retailers and Customers get the freshest, highest-quality beer available anywhere. Wantz Distributors was originally founded in 1933, by Hiram B. Wantz. The company was initially organized to sell, market, and distribute malt beverage products in Washington County, Maryland. The company was originally located on 88 West Lee Street in downtown Hagerstown. Our original products included several regional brews like Cumberland Brewery, C. Schimdt and Lowenbrau. The Aheuser-Busch brewery became a part of the our portfolio in 1934. Over time local brands were sold and second generation Hiram B. Wantz Jr. dedicated all efforts to grow the Budweiser brands. To this day we remain committed to the sales and distribution of the AB-InBev brands, carrying over 75 different brands and sell over 350 different packges today. Our product line now cover domestic, import, craft and speciality beers. Wantz Distributors operates just outside Hagerstown at the intersection of interstates I-70 and I-81 in a state of the art warehouse. Wantz Distributors proudly distributes the full line of AB-Inbev products to Garrett, Allegany, Washington, Frederick and Carroll counties in Maryland. The company remains a fourth generation family owned and operated company lead by President, Eric Riser. "We are committed to the people who purchase, sell, and consume our products. We strive to evolve as a sales and distribution organization focused on new brand development and innovation in the way products are brought to retail." Thanks to everyone responsible in large or small part to our continued growth and future success. Cheers! |
