Replacing a CO2
Cylinder
Follow these 10 Steps
- Close the empty cylinder at the cylinder valve (B).
- Remove lever handle (A) from the barrel to release the pressure
remaining in the line. Do not close the regulator on/off valve
(E).
- Remove or loosen the regulator set screw (D) by turning counterclockwise.
- Remove the regulator from the used cylinder at the CO2
valve (C).
- Remove the dust cap from the new cylinder at the CO2
valve (C), and clear the dust from the outlet by opening and closing
the cylinder valve (B) quickly using the appropriate wrench, if
required.
- Attach the regulator to the new cylinder at the CO2
valve (C). Use new fiber/plastic washer, if required.
- Open the cylinder valve (B) all the way.
- Close the regulator on/off valve (E) all the way.
9. Adjust the regulator set screw (D) by turning clockwise to set
pressure. Check setting by opening the regulator on/off valve (E).
- Tap the barrel at the lever handle (A) with the regulator on/off
valve (E) open.

Safety Handling Tips
- Dont lay CO2 cylinders flat.
- Dont drop CO2 cylinders.
- Always secure a CO2 cylinder in the upright
position with a chain, strap or holder.
- Always store CO2 cylinders in a cool, well-ventilated

Decreasing Pressure
- Close the regulator on/off valve (E)
- Untap the barrel at the lever handle (A) to bleed the line and
activate the tap handle. Leave in position.
- Slowly open the regulator on/off valve (E) and simultaneously
turn the regulator set screw (D) counterclockwise to zero reading.
- Close the regulator on/off valve (E) and set pressure by turning
the regulator set screw (D) clockwise. Check the setting by opening
and closing the regulator on-off valve (E).
- Tap the barrel at the lever handle (A) and open the regulator
on/off valve (E).
