Tapping a Keg—The Tri-Tap® System

Anheuser-Busch spares no expense in brewing its draught beers. To protect our products from the brewery to the customer, only the finest stainless steel barrels and valves are used. The Tri-Tap® is a single-valve draught barrel and tapping system that is simple, safe and sanitary.

The barrel

  • Can be tapped quickly and easily with only one tap to connect
  • Has convenient hand-holds make the barrel easy to handle
  • Is completely sterilized

Every Tri-Tap

  • Is equipped with a pressure release valve for maximum protection
  • Can be totally disassembled for thorough cleaning

The following are procedures for using a T-Handle or Lever Handle Tri Tap:

Tapping the Lever Handle

When using this type of tap head, follow these simple steps:

Position the tap head in the barrel neck. Turn the body, not the handle, 1/4 turn.

Turn the handle clockwise, 1/4 turn, activating the pressure and beer lines. You are now ready to draw beer.

Pull the handle out and push it down to the locked position, activating the pressure and beer lines. You are now ready to draw beer.
