In November of 1949, Charles "Mac" and Ruth McBride acquired the rights
of an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler. In February of 1950, incorportation
became official! The only brands available were Budweiser and Michelob.
The staff included 1 full time sales employee, 1 part time sales
employee and Ruth worked in the office. There was 1 route truck, a
station wagon and a 1950 Buick in the fleet. Annual sales were
approximately 9600 cases and 300 kegs.
In 1964, Mac passed away, and his only child, Bob took over the company.
Bob is said to have been the youngest person to take over a
wholesalership - he was only 24.
In 1974, a new facility was built one block south of Dickson Street. It was home for the next 20 years!
