About the Job:  Superior Beverages, LLC - Sales Team Leader

About the Company & Job:   Superior Beverages LLC is the exclusive distributor of Anheuser Busch alcoholic beverages in Northwest Wisconsin / Northeast Minnesota.  Superior Beverages distributes its products to all licensed accounts (bars, convenience stores, grocery stores, etc.) within its territory.   Our warehouse is located in Superior, WI and we are seeking a Sales Team Leader.

The Sales Team Leader reports to the Sales Manager and is responsible for supervising Sales Representatives.  This is a full time position that generally works Monday through Friday, however some weekends and evenings will be required.  The Sales Team Leader is accountable for fulfilling the below functions for our territory.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Sales and Management experience, ideally in a beverage sales environment
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership skills that include effective time management, prioritizing and delegation
  • Ability to work and drive positive results in a team environment
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 165 pounds (to move kegs from time-to-time)

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage, maintain and sell all brands to current accounts and call on non-buying accounts
  • Achieve distribution goals by brand as outlined in the Annual Business Plan
  • Achieve sales and margin goals and outlined in the Annual business plan
  • Increase product visibility in the market by Suppliers as outlined in the Annual Business Plan
  • Manage the teams annual budget
  • Mentor direct reports thorough ride-withs and team sells to ensure their performance exceeds competition in the market
  • Develop superior relationships with all assigned accounts to achieve the best “partner” relationship possible and achieve the “Look of the Leader”
  • In conjunction with the Sales Manger and SEC, develop and implement monthly Pay for Performance and Incentive Programs
  • Review KPI’s and provide feedback/recommendations to the Sales Manager
  • Hold weekly meetings to discuss current performance and execution levels.
  • Maintain and increase shelf space in all accounts, participate in shelf resets when necessary
  • Help Sales Reps grow On-Premise and Off-Premise Business through distribution and promotion
  • Maintain the structured sales call frequency for all assigned accounts
  • Ensure that supplier-required and Superior Beverages endorsed product quality standards are maintained through the proper rotation of product

Driver Opportunity

Superior Beverages is looking for a hard working individual in good physical condition for the position of a delivery driver
JOB DUTIES
Responsible for driving and delivery of pre-ordered product to assigned accounts and for rotating and stocking product.

  • Valid Class A Driver's License required.
  • Driving record within MVR policy guidelines required.
  • Must have the ability to repetitively lift, pull and push 160+ pounds, reach above head height, stand, walk, kneel, bend and reach.
  • Check accuracy and stability of the load.
  • Deliver products to customers.
  • Merchandise, display and rotate products according to company standards.
  • Invoice and collect monies due.
  • Settle all accounts daily.
  • Home Daily.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of commercial driving experience preferred.
  • Local delivery experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate a hand truck.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT Physical. Position is full time with competitive pay, full benefits, and a 401K w/company match.
