Add a Link to an External Site

Be sure you have logged in to your web site and have your red buttons showing. (See the Log In page if you need help.)

Click on the red "Add a Page" button.

On "Add a Page", you will see various pages and page types that you can add to your web site.

Find "Add a Link to Another Web Site" (first on the list). Click on the green "Add" button next to it. The Add a Link "Edit Page" will appear.

On the Add a Link "Edit Page" select the category you want your link to appear under on your web site. Click on the down arrow next to the category box to see the list of available categories. Select the one you want by clicking on it.

Please read "Edit Page Help " for more information on page order, page name and link text for the Table of Contents. Keep the link text short.

To the question "Would you like this to open in a new window?" we suggest you answer "yes." This means that when your visitors click on the link, they will view the new site in a new window, rather than overwriting your site.

When you add the URL (the web address) of the site you want to link to, be sure to include the whole address, for example http://www.oursoccerteam.com. The http:// is already put there for you; just be sure to include the www if it is part of the address.

When you are finished, click "Publish."

After the Publish is complete, look for the link on your web site, in the Left-Side Table of Contents, under the category you specified.
